The dryer’s key function is to eliminate moisture recovered during the heating of damp clothing. This humidity is expelled outdoors through the dryer vent duct work and cap.

Lint will buildup over time and cause blockage within the components preventing proper ventilation and is a dangerous fire hazard. The lint trap generally catches 75% of the lint while the remaining either gets caught in the dryer duct work or expelled out the dryer vent. The buildup in the dryer duct work occurs significantly over time creating a fire hazard.

According to the U.S. Fire Administration’s National Fire Data Center, clothes dryers are responsible for approximately 15,600 structure fires around the country each year. Eighty percent of these fires start with clogged dryer vents, and result in 15 deaths and 400 injuries on average annually. Thousands of other home occupants are treated for symptoms of poisonous gas fumes that back up into the home due to blocked dryer vents.

Dryer Vent Cleaning Benefits:

Dryer vent cleaning protects against fires, smoke and pollutants. Lint is very flammable and is easily ignited by the heat. The dryer will run more efficiently reducing operating costs and energy consumption.

The dryer will last longer and clothes will dry quicker.

before_afterDryer Vent Cleaning Process:

We use air snakes, air wands and various brushes to clean the dryer ventilation system. Sometimes we need to disassemble the ventilation system to properly clean it.

The air snakes, air wands or brushes are inserted into the dryer ventilation duct work. The devices are used to eradicate loose and solid debris within the venting duct work.

The elbows and bends require the most time to complete because they are the more problematic areas for lint and other debris tend to build up on. Ventilation pipes typically range from five feet to thirty feet in length.

We clean the lint and debris surrounding the dryer, the outside vent and connections.
